Introduction

Abstract

This special issue of EIAL is devoted to a set of papers first presented at a
colloquium at Tel Aviv University in May of 2013, titled “Middle Class: Practices,
Transformations, and Constructions in Latin America and Spain during the
Twentieth Century,” organized by Claudia Stern, a PhD candidate in the Sverdlin
Institute for Latin American History and Culture.
