Abstract
This article aims to explain the position of the Argentine government towards the Chaco War (1932-1935), which clearly favoured Paraguay. Moreover, this article considers the motivations and participation of Argentine citizens. As a result, this study narrates how as both interested parties and as “neutral” mediators in the conflict, the Argentine government and its people were central actors in the conflict.
