Abstract

Using the framework of “dissident bodies,” Rosa Blanco Cano explores the ways that contemporary women artists have literally and metaphorically deployed their bodies to challenge received mythologies about monolithic nationalism, sanctified motherhood, and tradition-bound indignity.
